What?

Personal Property Securities Act, the new way to secure personal property such as machinery, hire equipment, goods etc.

Previously you had to lodge charges against the company on ASIC. This is no longer the case as interests are recorded on the PPSA Register.

Why do you need a lawyer?

Although the process may seem fairly straight forward, if you do not register your interest correctly you may or you can lose your personal item if the company becomes insolvent.
