What?
Building your home can be daunting – there are hidden costs everywhere and each one that you do not know about can quickly add up, pushing you closer and closer to the “budget”. Building Contracts are thick, overwhelming and plagued with a word you will become all too familiar with – “variations”.
Why do you need a lawyer?

- Make sure that you are adequately informed of the risks about building and where costs can blow out;
- Minimise the ability for builders to charge you additional costs; and
- Ensure that you have a good and timely build.

Our Partner, Vivian Nguyen, has gone through the building process first hand herself and is aware of the pressures that the builders put on you to sign the Tender, the Contract and variations.
We can provide you with first-hand experience, advice and assistance and the initial stages of Tender and all the way through the building process. We know that it is a lot to take in at first instance and therefore, we are able to reiterate our advice when you are experiencing issues during your build (for no additional cost).
We also assist in the negotiations with the builder regarding the Contract and give you tips on variations and colour selections.
It is our belief that everyone should get their building contracts reviewed to ensure smooth sailing during the construction process – it will save time and money in the long run.
