Sale of Property

What?

In order to place your property on the market you will need a Contract for Sale of Land and once you find a purchaser, you will need assistance in finalising the sale, including but not limited to, liaising with your purchaser, your agent, your bank and telling you when it is time to hand over the keys.

Common issues that vendors may face, include:

  • Delayed settlement;
  • Discharging mortgagee issues;
  • Heritage issues;
  • Water access licence;
  • Acquisition issues; or
  • Structures not council approved.

Why do you need a lawyer?

It will most likely be the biggest sale of your life, you need to make sure what you’re doing is right. A lawyer can help you:

  • Draft the Contract for Sale of Land which will be in your favour and ensure you have made the proper disclosures (e.g. non-council approved buildings and swimming pools).
  • Finalise the sale without any stress by dealing with your agent, your purchaser, your bank and any other parties.
